. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 14 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
This terrible disease physically took my grandmother, Wylene Tyson from our family in Nov of 2019. Mentally it took her several years before, she was no longer the strong independent woman who was capable of being there for me and countless others. Her jolly and cheerful personality disappeared. She no longer remembered us but she always looked up and smiled.
