Families facing Alzheimer's and all other dementia need us now more than ever -- and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or register as a participant and start your own fundraising. Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease.
my father battled Alzheimer's disease for years. We watched him go from an independent, hard working man who even during retirement held two jobs, to someone who could no longer feed himself. It's something I don't wish on my worst enemy(if I had one) and it's something that's been heavy on my mind for many years. It's influenced some of the decisions I've made with my own life about trying to live a lifestyle that doesn't help exacerbate the symptoms. I am not perfect, obviously, but I think it's important to do what I can and know that I am only human but also it's important to to help.
I am trying to do what I can to help fight for a cure for this degenerative disease. My sister, Angela Vierra, has been very active with donating her time and money to helping find a cure, as has much of my family, so I want to help a little more as well. With that being said, I am fundraising and any help is appreciated.
Funds go toward the research in trying to find a cure for ALZ. Also I will be participating in the ALZ Fox Valley(St. Charles) walk, waving my ALZ flag in my father's honor on September 18th and anyone is welcome to sign up and join. Again, Any help and support is very much appreciated. Thank you for reading. ð¥°
