My amazing mom was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's in late 2012/early 2013. Mom's battle against this disease ended on October 21, 2021.
My mom was the most incredible person...she was kind, compassionate, generous and always smiling. She taught me so many things, including how to paint without needing painters tape, how to garden, how to prepare and cook the Thanksgiving turkey, and even how to drive a car! She and I were best friends, always laughing and giggling, talking on the phone, we just had the best mother-daughter relationship!
I will continue the fight to End Alzheimer's in my Mom's honor and I look forward to that day where there is a survivor!!
2021 was my 9th Walk to End Alzheimer's. I am so thankful for the many awesome people I have met over the years. There are amazing staff, advocates, caregivers, and volunteers around this great state and we all are working toward the ultimate goal of ending Alzheimer's!
Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts here.
Thank you for helping advance Alzheimer's support, care and research.
