My Grandma Margarita is my biggest inspiration. She is the reason I get up everyday and go to work at the Alzheimer's Association to try to raise funds to find a cause and cure for this devastating disease.
Margarita passed away on August 8th, 2019 at 98 years old, after battling Alzheimer's for more than 10 years. The flower I hold on walk day used to be yellow, representing my role as a caregiver. Now and for ever more, I will hold the purple flower, representing the loss of my dear grandmother. She is my longest and closest friend and I will continue to honor and remember her for the rest of my life.
I would appreciate any donation and support to honor the beautiful and amazing woman that was my Grandma Margarita, and to support people worldwide battling this disease.
