This is my tenth year working on the Walk to End Alzheimer’s committee of the West Georgia chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
For each committee member, it is personal, it is someone we love. We believe in a day where no one's family, including our own, will ever have to deal with Alzheimer's disease and all its ripple effects. I honestly believe we will witness the first survivor of Alzheimer’s in my lifetime!
The West Georgia Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's is on Saturday, Oct. 16th. We will be back at Hobbs Farm IN PERSON!! Yay! We walk to, one day, end this terrible disease and witness the first survivor of Alzheimer’s!! We need YOUR help to do this!!!
The Alzheimer's Association is the world's leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support, and research. The funds we raise will go directly toward supporting their efforts. Our mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
I am a member of Team J Walker - a team formed to show our respect, honor and love for Ms. Jerry Walker - Trish's mom, Nan, and friend. I also participate and walk for my dear Grandmother, Mamaine, who lived with short-term memory loss and dementia until her death at 99 years young. She was the best Grandmother ever and I dedicate my service to her!
We ask for your support whether it be in well wishes, prayers, or financial contributions. They are all needed and appreciated. For those able to give, you can donate any amount online to this Facebook fundraiser
We do believe in a day that Ends Alzheimer's, however, as with all good changes, it starts with each of us.
With thanks, love, and appreciation - I look forward to hearing from you! Beth
We promise to never forget those who can no longer remember.
