My mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's almost 15 years ago. Dad took care of her until his death in Dec. of 2019. Now she is in a Memory Care Facility. Rachel and I visit her regularly and the other siblings come when they can. I miss her so much, especially when I am sitting next to her. I am not sure what she understands or thinks about, but I am sure she knows that we love her.
So many people that I talk to have been effected by Alzheimer's - either as a victim or a caretaker. It is rotten either way. We need to find a way to fight this disease. My sisters and I will be walking in DC again this year. We have to do our part!
We need your support. Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide. Someday you and I may need their help.
Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts here.
