Dear family and friends,
I hope you and your loved ones are finally able to visit and hug one another.
Positive news is that the FDA approved Aduhelm to treat Alzheimer’s disease! This is the first drug that slows Alzheimer’s. Unfortunately, it is not without controversy around the approval process and a hefty price tag. The hope is that the treatment will become available soon, and that this is the beginning of a new future for Alzheimer’s treatments.
My commitment to walking and fundraising for a cure for Alzheimer’s is unwavering. On October 9th, I am joining the 2021 Walk to End Alzheimer's in Washington, D.C in person on the National Mall. If you are unable to attend in person, walk alone, or in small teams of friends and family!
I know my incredible grandmother Ginc would want a better future for people with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Her spirit and memory guide me.
