My inspiration for Walking to End Alzheimer's comes from my grandma, Betty Lou Reckmeyer. The sweetest woman with the kindest heart, she had more love to give than anybody else in the world, and that is exactly what she gave each and every day to her family and those around her; especially to her 11 (!!) children and 50+ grandkids. Alzheimer's disease is something that strikes very close to home for my family, and a cause I am passionate about getting involved with and fighting to help end.
I am helping lead the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Thank you for any donation you are able to provide, no matter the size, to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
