That is why I'll be participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's event in Washington, DC on Saturday, October 9th. This cause is near and dear to me, as we lost my grandmother, Margaret Dodd, to Alzheimer's disease when I was in college. Watching the grandmother we all knew as children slowly disappear when I was an adult was heartbreaking.
There have been some exciting advances in science in Alzheimer's over this past year but there is still no cure! Currently, more than 6 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to nearly double by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease and change the trajectory of this disease for future generations. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
