Our family lost a dear member and friend in 2020 to Alzheimer's. To see its rapid impact on memory, the whole body, and our entire family was both shocking and tragic. The Alzheimer's Association provided more than just medical research, it provided direct guidance and counseling to our family. We will always support their organization as they supported us!
Alzheimer's Disease is the most common form of dementia, which is a general term for memory loss and other cognitive abilities serious enough to interfere with daily life. More than 5.8 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 14 million by 2050. It is the 6h leading cause of death in the U.S., and in 2019 Alzheimer's and other dementias cost the nation $290B. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
