Team Captain Renee Zau is joining in honor of her mother, who was diagnosed with dementia in her mid-70's, although looking back there were clues which the family did not recognize as signs of the disease earlier. Through 23andMe Renee learned that she herself carries the Apolipoprotein E-e4 (APOE4) gene that carries an increased risk of developing Alzheimer's. It is for research, future undiscovered treatments, and support for families, caregivers, and patients that this disease touches that Renee walks and fundraises.
We invite you to join us with your own personal stories or support of those on this journey.
