My mom, Joyce, went from being an active, independent, intelligent, organized, witty, caring and kind person to not knowing anyone or anything. Not being able to do anything for herself. Aware, yet not aware of her condition. In pain, scared and so confused.
As her daughter and caregiver, watching her slowly fade away has been the hardest thing I’ve ever done. She had a feeling this would be her demise, as her father also suffered from this disease. She never wanted for me to have to care for her, but I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
Please join us on October 16th to help fight against Alzheimer’s. If you can, please donate, even if it’s only $5. Any amount will be greatly appreciated.
Sadly, my mom has left this Earth on 7/25/21. She is finally free of this unimaginable disease.
