I loved my grandpa more than anyone. I have so many memories that stick out but some of my favorites were him cooking sauce for my high school soccer pasta feed, taking me to dive practice and watching from the shade, cooking my birthday dinner requests, and drinking all the wine and singing at Thanksgiving. He lived a long incredible life serving our country in WW2, being a loving husband, father, grand father and great grand father, showing us the skills in the kitchen and so much more. His life was viciously taken from us by the cruel disease which is Alzheimer's. 6 years ago I started walking in his honor and have learned so much along the way, met amazing people, helped raise thousands of dollars but most importantly have tried to spread awareness for this disease that effects so many people. So many loving family members and devoted caretakers give their all. I am so thrilled the walk is BACK IN PERSON this year! I will strive to do my best to raise funds and awareness virtually and in my community. Please consider donating to this important cause which we hope and pray that one day SOON will have a cure. Even if it's $5, the fact that you even took 1 minute to address this cause warms my heart.
Thank you for helping advance Alzheimer's support, care and research.
