Support our team for the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. I began leading a WEA Walk Team last year to honor my mother and raise funds for Alzheimer's Association, which provides important research and assistance for those afflicted with Alzheimer's and their families. My mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2011 and passed away in 2017 at the age of 89. She was a wonderfully loving mom to 3 children and grandma to 7 grandchildren. She lived a full life of faith through service to her family, church, and world.
You may have family and friends who've also been impacted greatly by this terrible disease. I hope you will join me to honor them and support the Alzheimer's Association.
We will meet at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2021 in the northeast corner of the Oak Ridge High School parking lot, at the corner of Silva Valley Road and Harvard Way. Location is here: https://firstname.lastname@example.org,-121.0701064,18z
Our walk will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. I will have donuts and orange juice for our group. Please bring walking footwear, hat/sunscreen, water (for longer walk), and your smile!
We will have a shorter walk (1 to 2 miles) and a longer walk (4 to 5 miles) along sidewalks and fire trails in El Dorado Hills. Both walks will return to our parking area. I will provide detailed walk route instructions on Walk Day.
