Saints for Cure of St. Rest Baptist Church, Fresno, CA
Dear family and friends,
Most of you know that I have been involved with several charitable organizations over
the years. Most recently, I've been tirelessly supporting an organization and a cause very
close to my heart: the Alzheimer's Association.
I know firsthand what Alzheimer's disease does to a loved one and their family, as I
witnessed my mother succumb to the disease. Now, I'm determined to put my knowledge
and experience to good use.
There are millions of our seniors that need our help and support. And I need your
help in order to support them.
This year, I've committed to raising awareness and funds to support Alzheimer's care,
support and research by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End
Alzheimer's on Saturday, September 12, 2015 ~ taking place at Fresno State.
I hope to make a big contribution in the fight against Alzheimer's by reaching my personal
fundraising goal of $500.00, and I'd be so grateful if you would join or sponsor me.
If you can join my team: Ms. Dean Woods or make a donation (big or small), we will be
that much closer to finding a cure so that no more families will have to suffer.
More than half a million Americans will develop Alzheimer's disease this year, but as many
as 50% will never be told their diagnosis, according to the Alzheimer's Association's 2015
Alzheimer's Disease Facts and Figures report.
What we also know now is more than 5 million Americans are currently living with
Alzheimer's, and millions more are faced with the financial and emotional challenges of
caring for a loved one with the disease. If current trends continue, Alzheimer's will
bankrupt families, communities and our healthcare system.
We all have a reason to end Alzheimer's. Together, we can become an unstoppable
force against the disease.
Again, here's how you can help:
1) Visit my homepage to donate or join my team!
2) You can also mail your contribution directly to me if you prefer not to donate online.
Checks should be made payable to: The Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you for helping advance Alzheimer's support, care and research.
