My Mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's over a decade ago. I became fascinated and frustrated with a disease that could erase her enthusiasm, artistic talents and joy. Many think Alzheimer's is the loss of a person's name, or where are my keys? My Mom would not be able to distinguish day or night, she would curl her hair with a spoon, speak in song or laughter as a defense mechanism for not remembering what she wanted to say, and lose the ability to do simple tasks and complete everyday simple activities. Let's not allow this disease to take the memories and legacy away from our loved ones.
