Our Goal

We're walking in 2021 — and we invite you to join us.

The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® is full of flowers, each carried by someone committed to ending this disease. Because like flowers, our participants don't stop when something's in their way. They keep raising funds and awareness for a breakthrough in the fight against Alzheimer's and all other dementia.

Walk to End Alzheimer's is happening — and you can join us at your local event or Walk From Home in your neighborhood. No matter where you participate, know that your health and safety are our top priorities. All local events will implement safety protocols including physical distancing, contactless registration, hand sanitizing stations and more. Per CDC guidelines around crowded outdoor settings, we ask that all Walk attendees be vaccinated against COVID-19 or wear a mask when in an overcrowded area. Masks will be available on-site.

We will continue to closely monitor CDC, state and local guidelines to ensure Walk events adhere to recommendations and are safe for attendees. If you prefer to Walk From Home, you can still engage in many Walk-day experiences through our mobile app.

WALK DAY EXPERIENCE

We're thrilled to come together in-person in San Ramon at Bishop Ranch adjacent to the new City Center! This year you can expect a shortened ceremony, route entertainment including appearances from your favorite Star Wars characters, and more.

Plan to Walk in your own neighborhood again this year? Perhaps you can route your Walk by the Bankhead Theater in Livermore or Lake Merritt (Lakeside & Madison) in Oakland, to enjoy mini Promise Flower Garden patches from 9am-11am!

 

UPCOMING TEAM FUNDRAISERS

October 18th - 25th: 11:30am 8:00pm Daily | Dos Coyotes will donate 25% of the purchase price of all meals from in honor of Team Stacey and the East Bay Walk2EndALZ! Must present flyer or mention Team Stacey and the Walk to End Alzheimer's.

COMPANY MATCHING GIFTS

We now have a matching gift form available for use by all participants. This form is intended to aid our Donor Services team in tracking matching gifts coming from Walk participants/donors so that they can be applied to your Walk page as soon as we receive your matching gift. If you or someone who is supporting your Walk fundraising has applied for a matching gift with a company, please take the time to fill out the Walk Matching Gift Form. Our Walk is developed and planned by a committee of passionate volunteers who work year-round in the areas of marketing and outreach, team retention, team recruitment, sponsorship, logistics, mission and advocacy -- and the event grows and thrives when new faces and new ideas come to the table! We work hard, set ambitious goals, develop lasting friendships and have a lot of fun.
