I was 56 years old and after a full year of testing was diagnosed with EOA. My mother died in 2017 after 61/2 years with Alzheimers. My father died at 10 years of Alzheimers they had full time caregivers. I had symptoms as far back as December 2017. I am unable to work and my wonderful wife Cyndi is my caregiver. She helped me take care of my parents and is now responsible for my care and the sole income provider for our household. I have a lot of guilt for the pressure and stress that has been on her for years for all the care for me and my parents she has lovingly given to us. It is very important with Alzheimers you have the support of family and friends to help you thru this horrible disease. Update Cyndi, my loving wife and caregiver died of Covid 12/8/2020 RIP
Alzheimer's isn't stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's(R), I'm raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease -- funds that allow the Alzheimer's Association(R) to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.Families facing Alzheimer's and all other dementia need us now more than ever -- and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or register as a participant and start your own fundraising. Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease.
