I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
When mama was diagnosed with this disease, I really had no idea what we were in for. She fought bravely, but died January 21, 2017. Watching what she went through had a profound effect on me and my family. I'm walking so that researchers can find a cure for this disease before any other families have to go through what we did.
2019 was our third year to participate in this event and our team raised over $2,500! Our team worked so hard to raise money! We were in the top 5 fundraising teams for the River Region Walk! I look forward to seeing what we can accomplish this year!
I am so honored to serve as event co-chair this year! If you'd like to join our team or start your own team, please get in touch with me! I'd love to help you do that!
This years walk is October 10, 2020. We'd love to have an even bigger team this year! Please join us!
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
