All registered participants receiveD a set of 5 Walk flags in the mail. We encourage you to plant them in your yard to increase community awareness.
FRIDAY FLASH FUNDRAISING: OCT. 16, 23 AND 30
We're trying to reach $165,000 which is 75% of our Walk's goal by October 31st. Will you help us get there? Every dollar raised benefits those affected by Alzheimer's or dementia in our Coastal VA community.
Your health and safety continue to be our top priorities. Shirts are being delivered via USPS in a Walk-branded envelope. Anyone who raises $100 between 10/1-12/1 will receive their shirt directly from our fulfillment center. Shirts are being delivered on a monthly basis. Due to potential delays by the post office, we regret we cannot guarantee delivery times. Please make sure to update your mailing address and shirt size. Shirts are available in YS, YM, Adult S- 3XL.
Participants raising $500, $1,000 or $2,500 will receive an email from UPS with expected champions incentive delivery dates. Fundraising continues until December 31 to qualify for the national incentive program. All fundraising for the 2020 Walk season will end on December 31.
Download the Walk mobile app on your phone to mobile upload any check or credit card donations you receive. As a reminder, fundraising continues through December 31 for incentives such as t-shirts and champions club incentives. Participants raising a minimum $300 are also eligible to choose a prize from the national incentive program. All funds must be credited online by December 31 to participate.
We accept checks made payable to the ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION. Please help us ensure the integrity of your donations. Any checks not properly filled out will be returned to the donor. Due to strict fundraising guidelines, we cannot accept checks made out to you, your team, or made payable to the Foundation or Society. Both organizations do exist but they are not us. Checks can be mobile uploaded via the Walk app for the fastest crediting or they can be mailed to: Alzheimer's Association, PO Box 9924, McLean, VA 22102. If mailing donations, please include your personal donation form. This can be found on your public-facing Walk webpage hyperlinked Mail-In donation or in your online participant center. Cash donations can be banked and a credit card donation made online to yourself or your team member. Cash donations can also be banked and converted into a personal or cashier's check made payable to the Alzheimer's Association. We accept donations through December 31, 2020. If you haven't already, please join our Walk to End Alzheimer's group on Facebook. Post your selfies and team photos here too so we can see you and share it on our social sites as the season continues on. We will be utilizing some of your photos for our online Post Walk Celebration Party on November 19 at 6 PM. We may even use your photos in future Walk marketing promotions! Take a selfie or photo of your team and post on social media with #Walk2EndALZ and #ENDALZ.
We want to see your Walk day photos! Please send them to Jenn at firstname.lastname@example.org by November 6 to be considered for inclusion in a special Walk to End Alzheimer's Thank You Video and for consideration in 2021 Walk marketing.
