I walk in memory of my Mom, Grandma, Aunt Joyce and Aunt Nancy. I also walk in honor of my step-mother who is currently living with the disease. I was my Mom's caregiver and, having been a part of her journey with this cruel disease, I long for a day when no one will have to lose a loved one this way.
I am hopeful. I truly believe that one day we will raise the white flower in honor of our first survivor. Until that day, we must continue to support those living with the disease, as well as their care partners.
If you share my vision of a world without Alzheimer's Disease, will you consider supporting me? Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Alzheimer's Association offers care, education, support and resources.
I would love for you to walk with us in Richmond on Saturday, October 31st.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
