I, along with my sorority, Sigma Kappa,at James Madison University are working to raise money for our philanthropic event that means a lot to us. Every year, Sigma Kappa participates in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's in October here in Harrisonburg, VA. Last year, we were one of the highest fundraising Sigma Kappa chapter in the nation and first in Virginia by raising $67,000!!! This year we've set the bar to $81,000. While I am someone who has never had a family member with Alzheimer's, I do know how sad and unfortunate of a disease it is and how much it can affect a person and their family. I am very passionate about raising money to help find a cure, because no one deserves to wake up in the morning and not be able to remember who their family is.
Please join me in raising money to take action against Alzheimer's disease. Any donation is a large donation in my eyes, I am participating to honor any man or woman that has been affected by this unfortunate disease.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
