I lost my father, Lawrence Holub, to Alzheimer's Disease three years ago. Because of what this disease did to him and what it took from me and my family, I have whole heartedly endorsed the Walk to End Alzheimer's and the Alzheimer's Association.
I'm walking to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the 2016 Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's™, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, care and support.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I need your support to do my part! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
In memory of my Dad, Team Lawrence will participate in it's fifth Walk to End Alzheimer's to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research. I am asking for your support. If you can help, please go to act.alz.org/goto/gloriasteimel to make your tax deductible donation in memory of my Dad. You may also mail your donation to me, payable to Alzheimer's Association. We would also love to have you join Team Lawrence. Sign up online and walk with us on September 24, 2016 at 7:30 a.m. in downton Wichita Falls.
Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts here.
