My Dad, Ray Suehr has always been a fighter. But unfortunately, this fight is out of his control. He taught me how to stand up for myself, try new things, be a risk taker, and find humor in life. As a kid, he would be out in the yard, in the garage fixing things or building something for our house. He always wanted the best for our family. When we did something wrong, he would get angry and then a minute later, he would be hugging us and telling a joke. I love my Dad to the moon and back and I would give anything to have his mind back. My Mom is his caregiver and she takes each day as a blessing. Help me and others be the fighter that my Dad needs. Thank you for your support!
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 14 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please help my Dad and I and make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's! It means the world to me!
