I am walking for someone dear to me.. My precious daddy was afflicted with Alzheimer's Disease and it robbed him of his dignity. He passed away November 6, 2013. Daddy was a very prideful man and was a very smart man. Little by little this dreaded disease took bits and pieces of my daddy. I was very fortunate that he knew who I was right up until the end but sometimes I could see doubt in his eyes. My father was an amazing human being who fiercely loved his family. He was the first man I ever loved and the least I can do is walk for him and try to raise as much money as possible so there can be a cure for this disease. I urge anyone who has ever met my father to help us by donating. No amount of money is too small and it will make me so proud that I can do this for Daddy. Thank you.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I need your support to do my part! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining the movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with you.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
