In memory of my Dad, I am participating in my 7th Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® at the Brazos Valley Walk on October 19 in College Station. I’m proud to say I’ve raised over $12,500 in the last 7 years. I am hoping to add much more to that total this year. I greatly appreciate the Albemarle Foundation (my former employer) for sponsoring me and donating over $24,600 to date!
Most of you who know me, know I am passionate about doing what I can to help find a cure for this devastating disease. My dad was diagnosed 10 years before he passed away 6 years ago from ALZ. My mom took care of him until we had to move him into a nursing facility. That was so difficult and heartbreaking.
No one deserves to have to live with this disease. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease. Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease.
If you would like to join me in this fight, simply donate to my page. Your donation helps advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. If you would like to join my team, please register online to join ‘Reece’s Team’ or contact me. Anyone who donates or raises $100 will receive a free t-shirt. After The Walk, everyone who donated any amount to my page will be entered into a drawing for an $20 Amazon gift card!
Please help! Thank you for all your support and joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
