Why I walk…My experience with Alzheimer’s started in 2011. My stepdad, Nathan, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s that year and passed in 2013. It wasn’t until 2012 that I started to pay closer attention when my mom was diagnosed with dementia. She showed signs of forgetfulness shortly after her massive stroke in 1998 but as time went on it worsened, today she doesn’t know me.
This cause is so important to me not only because of Nathan and my mom, but also because help families everyday currently living with this horrible disease find appropriate senior living communities as an advisor/owner with Ruby Care -Senior Living Advisors.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
