My mom was a natural born beauty, a warm soul with olive skin and green eyes. She had an infectious laugh, a wonderful sense of humor, and made the best chicken and dumpling soup. I loved her more than anything.
She was diagnosed at age 56 with Early Onset Alzheimer's in the fall of 2016. She progressed quickly and she made her earthly departure July 9, 2017. We later discovered she also had Lewy Body Dementia.
I walk in her honor of my mother, Veronica Lynn DeChausse. The Walk To End Alzheimer's is about raising awareness, progressing forward together to gain resources in efforts to find a cure and further research to help the future generations. This walk is also a great way to stay connected to the ALZ community and bond with others who have experienced this devastating disease.
