This year is a bit different. If you are unfamiliar with the Walk, participants are encouraged to take a pinwheel flower of the color corresponding to their connection to the disease. For the past several years, I have carried a yellow flower because I worked with or cared for someone with Alzheimer's. This year, my flower will be purple, for those who have lost someone to the disease. Opa passed away earlier this year, surrounded by his large and loving family.
Alzheimer's slowly takes away the person you know and love. The Alzheimer's Association is working hard to advance research and to support families, but they need our help. Let's raise awareness, raise some money, and raise the spirits of those affected by this disease. Let's come together to End Alzheimer's!
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
