Jack finally succumbed to Alzheimer's on May 11, 2019 after battling a 10 year battle with Early Onset Alzheimer's. . This will be our second Walk in memory of him. Instead of holding a yellow flower (caregiver), I will hold a purple flower indicating I have lost a loved one to this disease. I use the word succumb, when really I should say Jack escaped the entrapment of Alzheimer's. His death is not a tragedy but a victory. We knew death was the only way he would escape this disease. With no cure or treatment on the horizon, we understood that this would be fatal for him. He has finally found peace.
I've lost him but I am not giving up the fight. I know he would want me to continue to advocate for those that cannot advocate for themselves, and to continue our fundraising in hopes that we will finally meet a survivor of this disease. Please help me by making a donation in Jack's memory. And please join our team and walk with us on October 31st
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
