We chose the name Bucket's List to honor the late Evelyn Glen McDaniel McConnell who was fondly called "Bucket" by those who knew and loved her. Bucket slowly passed through all the different stages of Alzheimers. Since her husband, her major caregiver, passed before Bucket did, Bucket relived the loss of him daily. Each morning she asked where her husband was; she was informed each day that he had died. The disease Alzheimers forced her to relive and mourn her husband's death. Truly, the daily scene was heartbreaking. Top on our team's bucket list is finding comfort and a good quality of life for all those suffering from this debilitating disease known as Alzheimers.
