Although it’s been 14 years already since Dad passed we miss him terribly!! He was always there for us when we needed help....when we needed something fixed....to borrow tools, cars, time!!! He always came through for us. Until this devastating disease took him away from us - and there was nothing we could do to help him. It was heartbreaking to watch him fade away from us - we could be there for him but could do nothing to stop it! There are no words for our pain when he finally passed as a result of Alzheimer’s.
By participating in the 2020 Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research, care and support in the hopes that my family and others like us will not have to experience the heartbreak of Alzheimer’s!
We realize how this Covid 19 pandemic has affected so many of us in different ways and understand that many are struggling. Most of us are doing something to help those in need - including praying for a cure.
We continue to plan for this year’s Walk and I personally am making it a Memory Walk to honor Dad. I’m also encouraging my Team to do the same. We’ll still need your support - if you’re able please join our Team or make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts here.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
