This is the eighth year in a row that "Yvonne's Legions" team has participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer's...and I am once again asking for your consideration in making a donation to help us solve this terrible disease.
My sister, Yvonne Schroeder, passed away from Alzheimer's in 2012 which is devastating to the individual as well as the family. She was a loving, vibrant mother, grandmother , wife and sister which was a loss to all of us when she became unable to read, talk and then comprehend. We love her and we miss her and want to do our part to help prevent other families from going through this experience.
I'm walking to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, care and support. Our Team is Yvonne's Legions and we are committing to raise $1200.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I ask for your support Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts here.
