We walk to honor our loved ones and all those facing Alzheimer's, especially Barbara DeGrange Kieran, an extraordinary woman who was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's fifteen years ago at the young age of fifty-four. She still meets each day with a grace and happiness that inspires everyone she knows.
Please join our team, walk with us if you can, and help us support the Walk to End Alzheimer's. This year the walk is everywhere. Anyone on our team is welcome to meet at Ridley Creek State Park to walk (more details to come). Others will walk in their own neighborhoods and elsewhere.
Amid the pandemic there are many new challenges to providing care for people suffering from Alzheimer's. Together, we can advance research to treat and prevent this disease, and provide programs and support to improve the lives of millions of affected Americans.
