We are saving MEMORIES one step at a time...
Like many of you, I have my own story with Alzheimer's disease.
In 2012 I registered and started Team Pop Pop's Party for the Philly Walk to honor my Pop Pop Paul. Pop Pop was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2008 but Mom Mom noticed signs right after he retired from being a truck driver in 2003. We lost Pop Pop on Father's Day in 2017.
I struggled as I watched what my Mom Mom, mom and her 2 sisters were going through being caregivers for a man who never asked for help. I needed to give back and get involved with people who were going through the same situation. We had no idea what this disease had in store for my grandfather and no one could have prepared us for it.
This year Walk looks different. We won't be gathering together at the ballpark like we have for the past 8 years. But it's not about a huge event, it's about raising funds in order to be able to continue the research, care and support in the fight against this disease.
Team Pop Pop's Party will be walking on November 14th holding purple flowers to remember the strongest, most hardworking man I have ever met. Please consider a donation to this cause so close to my heart!
Thank you in advance for ALL of your support!
