We can hide, socially distance and wash our hands to help prevent the spread of covid-19. Alzheimer's disease is an entire different beast. Imagine getting the news that you have a disease that will rob you of EVERYTHING. Cure you may ask? Sorry, there is no cure. Treatment you may ask? Sorry, there is no treatment. So what do I do with this diagnosis you may ask? Try to live in the moment and get your affairs in order. Next patient please.
No headlines. No breaking news. No daily briefings. No curve to flatten.
But we must have hope. If not for ourselves, or our loved ones already afflicted, then maybe for the generation born in this century, that they will be spared this disease. Maybe for our children and grandchildren. Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please join Team Teen, share among your friends and families, make a donation and join us on November 14, 2020, at Citizens Bank Park for the Phila walk, to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
