I'd like to thank everyone for the support so far Our team is Phyllis Jean's Walking machines. As a quick backstory, I know many of you know my mother, some of you never met her. A little over 10 years ago my mother had a heart attack. Since then, the heart attack kind of accelerated her Alzheimers. At first she started having memory lapses, then she began to forget simple words. Then she started to forget people including her family. For the past 5 years she has been in a memory facility to keep her safe. She finally succumbed to Alzheimer’s on Mother’s Day in 2020. It's very sad to remember your mother who loved you with all her heart not know who you even are and a mother who has not even said your name in 6 years. I love my Mom and I am walking in support to her and all those who suffer from this disease. Alzheimers runs in my family. There is a high likelihood that my brother and I will become inflicted with this disease and what terrifies me even more, my children. Please donate so we can possibly help find a cure for this terrible disease. Thank you.
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
