On August 22, I'm participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. It is time to end this terrible disease.
At the Walk, I will walk in honor of my grandfather, Don Calvin. My grandfather passed away at the age of 69 from complications with Lewy body dementia and Alzheimer's dementia. Until we find a way to end Alzheimer's and other dementias, I worry it will continue to affect the people in my life I love most. I'm committed to doing everything I can to end this disease, including participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's. Joining the Walk gives me hope that someday soon, we will find a way end Alzheimer's!
Please make a donation to my Walk team to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into treatment options, prevention and, ultimately, a cure.
