In memory of my dad, I have participated in the Alzheimer's Walk for 10 years and volunteered for the past 6 years. I have seen first hand how many families this disease has affected. This past March, one of my closest friends, Michael Hilliard, passed away from Alzheimer's. I am walking in his memory as well. Due to the Covid 19 the walk will be virtual. The walk/drive-by will be on Saturday, September 12, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.There will be a Promise Garden at the Medina Square with hundreds of Alzheimer's memory flowers on display to remind us all of the people who have been touched some way by this incredible disease. Last year I was honored to carry the Alzheimer flag and lead the walk with hundreds of supporters. We raised a record 96,000 for Medina County, thanks to your help. Over 220,000 individuals are living with Alzheimer's just in Ohio, and 60,000 in the Greater East Chapter. Even though we can't have the actual walk, I would love for you to join my virtual team, The O'Sullivan's Fighting Irish.
We are hoping to raise enough money for research, so one day soon, we have our First Alzheimer Survivor.
I would greatly appreciate your support in "The Walk to End Alzheimer's.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
