I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 14 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
My loving mother, “Shirl” was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer’s in her mid 60’s, and sadly passed away at the young age of 76. I think about her every day, and miss her terribly. She truly was my best friend! It makes me so sad to think about all the wonderful things in our lives that she missed out on experiencing . I know how proud she would be of all of her children, their spouses, and all of her grandchildren, and their significant others. I think about how afraid she must have felt when she started forgetting , as she witnessed this horrific disease in her mother. I hope and pray every day for a cure for this awful disease that robs one of their mind and body.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
