It seems that wherever I go, someone tells me about a parent who either has or has died with Alzheimer's disease. But the other day I talked with someone around my age whose husband was diagnosed with the disease 4 years ago. It's not just our parents or grandparents anymore...we baby boomers have started to reach the age of risk for Alzheimer's disease. The Alzheimer's Association is here to help! Our website has an amazing amount of information from recognizing early warning signs to diagnosis and life with Alzheimer's for the person with the diagnosis and their care partner. Locally, our professional staff provide important care and support services at no cost. And, the Alzheimer's Association is the largest private funder of much-needed resesarch. All this takes money. A lot of money! Please join me in this year's Walk to End Alzheimer's by joining my team, helping to raise money and walking with me at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo on Sunday, October 6.
Thank you so much!
