My dad passed away just over 11 years ago from early-onset Alzheimer’s. Even though I only had him for 17 years, he taught me so much: never be cheap when it comes to maple syrup, how to read and tie my shoes, and most importantly - to make the world a better place.
When my dad got too sick to work, he spent his time volunteering and helping friends & family. A true hippy to the end, he took great care of the world. I still remember running to the recycling plant with him as a kid.
For me, fundraising and working for the Alzheimer’s Association is a way of continuing his legacy. The work they do to make the world a better place; not just by funding research, but my providing programs and resources for patients and caregivers; is something I know he would have admired.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please join me in showing your love for my dad by joining my team or making a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.
