Our Goal

The world may look a little different right now, but one thing hasn’t changed: our commitment to ending Alzheimer’s. This year, Walk to End Alzheimer’s is everywhere — on every sidewalk, track and trail.

Your health and safety are our top priorities. This year’s event won’t be a large in-person gathering — instead, we invite you to walk in small teams of friends and family while others in your community do the same. Because we are all still walking and fundraising for the same thing: a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.

How to Participate

1. Register for your local Walk.

Sign up as a Team Captain, team member or individual.

2. Start fundraising and spread the word.

We'll provide tips and coaching every step of the way, including easy ways to raise funds online.

3. Join us on Walk day.

Take part in an interactive online experience, then walk in your community.

Walk Day Schedule of Events & Logistics

10:00 AM: Open & Promise Garden Ceremony

Access through Walk Mainstage (under Walk Details)

All day: Walk in your own neighborhood!

Walk around the block, in your favorite park, or wherever you would like with you team (following CDC social distancing guidelines). This year, the goal is to walk 5,000 steps to represent the 5 million Americans living with Alzheimer's disease.

10:30 AM - 2:00 PM: View Only Promise Garden

Join us at the Historic Richmond Town to view the planted Promise Garden. Be sure to view from a distance and avoid crowds.

Virtual Fundraising Guide

Even when we're apart, we can come together to end Alzheimer's. Raising funds for the Walk to End Alzheimer's may look a bit different during this time of physical distancing. But there's still so much that can be done to advance the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.

Mobile Check Deposit + Walk to End Alzheimer's App

Use the Walk to End Alzheimer's app to scan any check donations you receive towards your fundraising efforts. The donation will immediately be deposited to the Alzheimer's Association and added to your fundraising page. Click here to learn more. Available for iPhone and Android users.
