When my Mom was in the height of her career and life, her late fifties she was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s. Instead of saying “why me” she focused on living and enjoying each day never focusing on the diagnosis. This diagnosis and disease crept into our lives and slowly began stealing the beautiful, intelligent, vivacious woman so many loved and respected. Unfortunately this April 24, 2020, my Mom lost her battle with Alzheimer’s at the young age of 68. Walking was something she loved and this illness was one she hated as she knew it would rob her of living all her life. On October 25th I will participate in this virtual walk in her honor to fight a disease that I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. This day marks just over 6 months since she has passed. Please consider supporting me, this cause and my Mom’s memory. End this fight so others won’t have to face it one day.
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 14 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
