Many of you know that dear Mommy spent the last few years of her life weighed down by a battle with arthritis, and later with Alzheimer’s. She went to her bed on Christmas day 2011, and never got out of it on her own again.
We prefer to remember the gracious, vibrant, beautiful woman that she was; her discipline, stoicism, elegance and courage. We remember her many achievements and accompanying humility, her great kindness and militant Christianity. You can learn more about her here: http://elizabeth-mbiwan.last-memories.com/
I am now joining others to lead the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans, (and many more in Cameroon/worldwide) have Alzheimer's. That number is expected to grow to as many as 14 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
