This month last year my Mother, Patricia Pagola, passed away. Although her cause of death was cancer she suffered the effects of Alzheimer's related dementia for years before her passing. It was sad to see this once vibrant woman slowly lose touch with her life and everything she knew. I also have a good friend who's wife has also shown me first hand the devastating effects of this disease not only on her, but on those who love her.
Currently more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is projected to grow to 16 million by 2050. Like COVID, the impacts of Alzheimer's are far reaching and those millions of Americans with the disease have an exponential impact on families, our health care system and the economy.
Together we can end Alzheimer's. Every year progress has been made toward understanding the causes and effects that will lead to a cure. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
