This Saturday, Sept. 7, I am walking to help reclaim the future of the many local Seniors that have touched my life in the last 14 years while employed with Home Instead Senior Care of Gastonia. I know this disease has tremendously touched your life too with friends and loved ones that battled or are still battling this disease. By participating in the local Annual Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research, care and support (and specifically for your Grandfather,Grandmother, Father, Mother, Brother, Sister, Aunt or Uncle---your special family member that has been affected by this disease).
Did you know that currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050? Out of 5 million Americans, 3.2 million of these people are women. I recently visited a local Alz.Care Facility's dining room, and was shocked to see that out of 22 residents in the dining room, only one male had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Our future, (daughter's, granddaughters and even some of us) are at risk to also being diagnosed with Alzheimer's unless we find a way to change the course of this disease.
Will you please help me?
I would like to honor your loved one, their journey and experience by raising at least $1,500.00 for our local association. I also invite you to walk with me and the Home Instead Senior Care Team on Sept. 7, 2019. It is an easy and very meaningful 1-mile walk, downtown Gastonia at the Centennial Pavilion. Many vendors and educational booths will be available and we would love to have you join OUR TEAM for the morning! Come and get educated on this disease, pick up freebies, learn about the latest statistics on diagnosis and progress in raising money for research.
Together we can do this... me and YOU !
Thank you in advance for supporting this cause and for supporting my efforts in raising $1,500 in the next month. The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with all of US! I can't think of a better way to recognize and honor your personal experience and how this disease has touched your life! Thank you again for the support as your donation! You will receive a tax donation letter upon your donation. Thank you for joining me in the fight against Alzheimer's!
