In 2009 my dad passed from Alzheimer's Disease. He was everything in a Dad any son or daughter could ever want. Seeing first hand how ineffective the treatment was in the early and mid 2000's lead me to a feeling of helplessness. To this day, I still see this disease as an embarrassing death sentence that I just maybe, might be able to pray my and my twin sister's way out of. I recently received an email just like this one from my Financial Adviser Jamie Cowgill at Edward Jones. So I donated. Then, I thought, "You can do more! Stop feeling scared and helpless and do something!" So in honor of my Dad (Andy Mac) and everyone else affected by this disease, as well as their loved ones who also suffer, Leslie and I decided we'd get involved. We'd love to know one day in the near future that we helped in finding the cure.
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
