Our Goal

The world may look a little different right now, but one thing hasn’t changed: our commitment to ending Alzheimer’s. This year, Walk to End Alzheimer’s is everywhere — on every sidewalk, track and trail.

Your health and safety are our top priorities. This year’s event won’t be a large in-person gathering — instead, we invite you to walk in small teams of friends and family while others in your community do the same. Because we are all still walking and fundraising for the same thing: a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.

We know the hurricane that Mississippi endured recently continues to impact daily life for many of those we serve and our supporters. Because we want you to be able to fully enjoy and engage with all of your favorite parts of Walk day, we are postponing the One Coast Walk to End Alzheimer’s to November 21.

The Walk Planning Committee is at the heart of every Walk to End Alzheimer’s event. This dedicated group of volunteers drives the event’s development and growth — advancing the fight against Alzheimer’s from the ground up. There are lots of ways to use your interests and skills to advance the cause — and have fun doing it!
We're always looking for passionate and talented people to join our Walk to End Alzheimer’s planning committees all over Mississippi. Whether you’re interested in logistics, sponsorships, marketing or something totally different — if you think you have something to offer our mission, we want to talk to you! Contact Rachel Corkern at rcorkern@alz.org if you are interested in learning more!
