Let me introduce you to my mom, Gloria. She is the sweetest, most caring and giving person I know. To say she has been involved with teaching all of her life does not encompass all she has done. She taught students in high schools, as well as several non-traditional places helping people towards their GED. This included working with single mothers in the city, prisoners at a medium security prison, patients in long term rehab at the hospital. She wrote grants for the public school system to receive money to provide education at homeless shelters. She volunteered thru literacy programs teaching adults to read, and tutoring individuals for their GED. She wanted everyone to have the opportunities to better their lives and provide for their families. Even now that she is on the receiving end of the care and support of others, her smile and helpful attitude make those around her want to continue to do and be their best.
My brothers and I grew up with this positive, caring support, and now it's our turn to show what we have learned. I am walking to support the research to end Alzheimer's, and to show support to my mom and all those affected by this disease. Please consider sponsoring me or joining our team - Arbors Family Council. Thank you for your interest and support. With your help, we can bring an end to Alzheimer's.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
